Our story

How we got here

Carl and Claire first met on Claire’s birthday night out in Sheffield in 2024. Their first interaction consisted of Claire telling Carl off for wishing her a happy birthday four days too early. After seeing a Rammstein cover band, Carl retreated back to his home in Bracknell until their paths crossed again at the Rail Ale Festival a month later.

There, Carl and Claire were able to relax and get to know each other over numerous ales, connecting over WhatsApp stickers and mead. A bond was formed, though romance wasn’t on the cards just yet.

After a couple of failed relationships, Carl and Claire maintained a close friendship underpinned by a mutual care for one another. Despite Carl holding a torch for Claire, it took a tray of flapjack for her to realise what she had in front of her. In June 2025, after a day out with Harper, she took the leap and declared her feelings for Carl.

And the rest is history...
